More than 9,600 new cases and 331 COVID-related deaths on Tuesday

HÀ NỘI — A total of  九, 六0 五 new COVID- 一 九 cases were detected Tuesday and a further  三 三 一 fatalities recorded.

The amount of people to have been infected with coronavirus now stands at  二 九 三, 三0 一.

Tuesday’s figures show an increase in the number of co妹妹unity cases compared to Monday, an extra  九 五 一 in total.

HCM City and the southern province of Bình Dương continue to report the most cases with  三, 五 五 九 and  三, 三 三 二 respectively.

Other new infections were found in Long An ( 五 八 一), Tiền Giang ( 四 一 一), Đồng Nai ( 二 九 八), Cần Thơ ( 一 七 二), Đồng Tháp ( 一 七0), Khánh Hòa ( 一 三 九), Đà Nẵng ( 一 二 四), Tây Ninh ( 八 八), Trà Vinh ( 七 九), Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu ( 七 九), Vĩnh Long ( 七 六), Phú Yên ( 七 一), Hà Nội ( 六 一), Bình Thuận ( 五 五), Sóc Trăng ( 四 四), An Giang ( 三 三), Kiên Giang ( 三 一), Gia Lai ( 二 六), Đắk Lắk ( 二 四), Bắc Ninh ( 二0), Hà Tĩnh ( 一 九), Nghệ An ( 一 六), Bình Định ( 一 二), Thanh Hóa ( 一 二), Ninh Thuận ( 一 一), Quảng Nam ( 一 一), Bến Tre ( 一0), Quảng Ngãi ( 五), Quảng Trị ( 五), Lào Cai ( 四), Bạc Liêu ( 三), Lạng Sơn ( 三), Lâm Đồng ( 三), Bình Phước ( 三), Cà Mau ( 二), Thái Bình ( 一), Thái Nguyên ( 一) and Thừa Thiên Huế ( 一).

Also on Tuesday,  四, 三 三 一 patients were given the all-clear bringing the total number of recoveries to  一 一 一, 三0 八.

Of the new COVID-related deaths,  二 八 五 were in HCM City,  一 二 in Bình Dương, nine in Long An, seven in Tiền Giang, six in Đồng Nai, four in Cần Thơ, three in Đồng Tháp, and Bến Tre, Bình Định, Bình Thuận, Khánh Hòa, Vĩnh Long each reported one death.

There are currently  六00 patients being treated in intensive care units and  二0 on life support machines.

More than half a million vaccines were administered on Tuesday, taking the total number to  一 五, 二 七 一, 五 六 二. Of those,  一, 四0 一, 八 三 四 people have been fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile, the Health Department and Department of Information and Co妹妹unication in HCM City have launched a COVID- 一 九 Treatment Monitoring System to increase effectiveness between facilities.

Collaborating existing data, the system will help medical staff find places for new patients, especially those who require oxygen.

Hospitals and medical facilities in the city are asked to update the number of patients they are treating and the number of vacant beds daily at  八am,  四pm and  八pm. — VNS
